Marine Veteran Josh Wege

Originally from a small town in Wisconsin, Josh Wege enlisted in the United States Marine Corps immediately after high school.  While serving with the Corps, Josh was severely injured while on a patrol in Afghanistan and lost both of his legs. The morning of his injury, his twin brother back home had felt a numb sensation in his legs and was unable to get out of bed.

After recovering, he went on to compete in the Invictus Games as a track athlete. The Invictus Games were created by none other than Prince Harry, and each year hundreds of wounded veterans from around the world come together to compete in the Paralympic-style event.

Today, Josh will be attending the police academy in Miami to become a police officer, a long-time goal of his. Thank you to Josh for sharing your story with us.

Also, a big thank you to the Trianon Hotel at Bonita Bay for hosting us for our week of filming. Your accommodations were wonderful.

We would also like to thank Executive Producer Bob Gillette for helping to arrange so many interviews while we were in Bonita Springs.
